BAJA CALIFORNIA IS A SHIPWRECK located just off Ft.Meyers, Fl. 

 

Dear Atlantic Divers Dry Tortugas Diver,

            Final arrangements and bookings are being made for the Ultimate Getaway on Thursday, March 2 through Sunday, March 5, 2006. 

Cost:
The total cost for this trip includes unlimited diving, dive guide, food and rooms based on double occupancy.  There are limited spots available based on a first come first paid basis.  The price is $749.00 per person. 

Additional costs include: Certification dives are included; an unlimited Nitrox package is available for $40.00; Admission to Fort Jefferson Park is $5.00 and your airfare or transportation to and from the boat; a fuel surcharge may be charge per head if the cost of diesel exceeds $3.00 per gallon (see web site). Rentals can be arranged through Atlantic Divers at a discounted price.  All deposits are non-refundable and there is no cancellation after January 20, 2006.

Other Essentials:
Dan Preferred insurance is required as well as Dan travel insurance.  All divers must sign a liability waiver and statement of understanding when registering for the trip. Please supply your own bedding (see web info.).  All divers must have their own or rent an approved BCD, Regulator with computer, redundant air system or pony bottle, mask, fins, and snorkel, knife, and two lights for night dives, and a safety sausage.  A 5/4 or 7 mm. wetsuit is recommended.  Minimum protection is a 3/2 with a hooded vest.  Even a light dry suit can be used.  Consider that you will be making approximately 15 plus dives and you may get chilled after this number of extended dives.

You must arrange your own airfare and travel.  Check with the shop for carpools and time arrangements.  Plan on being at the boat by 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon.  Arrange your departure for Monday morning.

Sites:

This is an exciting dive area offering a variety of great underwater vistas.  It will be jam packed with adventure and exciting marine life.  We will be diving wrecks, reefs, lobster, and night dives in the depth ranges of 20 to a maximum of 100 feet. This is a great trip for novice as well as experienced divers.

Payments:

A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 will reserve your spot.  The final payment of $499.00 must be paid by 5p.m. Monday, January 30, 2006.  Reservations are being taken immediately.  Please make checks payable to Atlantic Divers.  Because of the demand and limited spaces we can not hold any spot without a deposit.  For more answers email atlanticdivers@hotmail.com today.

Dear Dry Tortugas Florida Diver,

 

            Departure time on The Ultimate Getaway will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday March 2, 2006.  Return to the Marina is expected to be at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Sunday March 5, 2006.  For additional information regarding your trip, (menu, map, itinerary, Things to bring” waiver, etc…) please visit our web pages at http://www.njwreckdivers.com and http://www.ultimategetaway.net  No passport is needed since we will be in U.S. waters.

            Please be aware that Fort Jefferson National Park is charging $5.00 admission fee per person should you wish to explore the park.  All divers are required to have a Safety Sausage and whistle on their gear, plus there own personal equipment including BCD, Regulator with octo or a pony bottle.  Check with your airlines for transportation policy.  A 6 mm. suit is recommended with hood. Two lights and strobe (light stick) is required for night dives.  Any rentals must be pre-arranged with Atlantic Divers when you pay for the trip balances.  Now is the time to have your equipment checked!

            Unlimited Nitrox is available for an additional $40.00 per person.  Bring your own bedding or sleeping bag. Dinner is not provided Thursday night. Your first meal will be breakfast onboard Friday morning.  We will dine for local seafood or pizza in Ft. Myers.   Lobster hunting is only allowed after we leave the Fort Jefferson Park.  The boat has the required permits.  You will be informed of the laws on board.

            Rooms will be assigned on a first paid basis and we will accommodate your preferences as best of our ability. Your courtesy towards the crew and group and the proper boat etiquette during the trip will make for a positive experience for all.  Please review Atlantic Divers policies or call for more information. 

            If there are weather concerns the decision will be made by the Captain to determine if the trip will be aborted.  Be aware that trips can be aborted on the departure date and refunds will be available if cancelled.  If the boat departs to the Tortugas there is no refund.  Please take adequate precautions for seasickness. DAN Preferred and DAN Travel insurance is required for this trip.    A surcharge may be imposed if the fuel prices rise above $3.00 per gallon this will be split by the group.
