It was Mexican fajita weekend for ten Atlantic Divers on the Miss Lindsey.  After a great South Western dinner and stroll, we sacked out in the welcoming air conditioned cabin of the newly renovated Miss Lindsey.  Scott and the LDC crew put a lot of effort into setting up the Lindsey for our offshore trip and we were delighted with the accommodations.

Of course a great trip always requires three variables,...a good dive platform with a good crew, amiable, safe divers and of course a great wreck.  All of these variables exceeded the limit...What can I say? The crew of the Miss Lindsey is exceptional.  Captain Becky is the Queen of hospitality.  Dana the chef brought on the gourmet Southwestern, as Josh, Danny and Capt. Jay were on hand for our every need.

The water was flat with gin clear visibility.  Marine life was epic and the Eureka continues to deliver.  We sighted on the surface and below an assortment of species that included a pod of 30 foot right whales, two large manta rays, half a dozen turtles, numerous dolphins, a endless school of amber jack on the surface, plus a white sandy wreck loaded with humongous sea bass and large lobster...tropicals under the boat and more...We had it all with the exception of sharks, which were not missed by the group on our twilight dives.

Ed Zemme was the finder with two nice doll heads and an awesome three talon clawed brass furniture post.  It is one of the nicest artifacts I have seen found on the Eureka. The Eureka was sanded in a bit after two years laying dormant with no digging.  As usual, it just started getting good on our last dive.  I found a loose porthole wedge in the wreckage, that required another effort to pull it out and we barely touched the bottle cargo hold,,,next time we will scratch deeper.

Lots of other bits of tat were recovered by the others which included Geoff Graham, John Priestly, Sanford Leavy, Drew Glass (Sanford's Buddy), Mike Nugent, Tom Fagan, Mike Benson, and Guy Harrington.

We are adding another trip this Fall in addition to the already scheduled Ocean Venture trip in October.  Those interested should contact the shop for more information.
